
Message from the President Representatives from Cox Industries attended the 103rd American Wood-Preservers' Association (AWPA) Annual meeting in May. The meeting, held in St. Louis, was girded by the undercurrent of a new age in the wood preservation industry. Before any insight into the future, let me offer a little insight into the history of Cox and the AWPA. Cox Cares Spotlight Crouell Brothers: Combined have over 100 years experience with Cox. Upon meeting the five Crouell brothers, it's easy to see that they are exactly that….brothers. They joke and tease each other relentlessly, as siblings are known to do. Melvin (a.k.a. Motor Mouth to his brothers) can easily be tagged as the instigator as he's constantly spurring the others on. Their happy-go-lucky personalities are contagious and their outlook on life is admirable. Especially when one hears their story. Storm Recovery As the 2007 hurricane season nears, we are reminded of how devastating these storms can be. Cox Industries, Inc. is proud to play a part in the recovery process. When Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005, Cox's Industrial Group was standing by to provide the vast quantities of utility materials needed by all areas affected by this debilitating storm. I am a 65-yr-old disabled veteran and I have purchased a number of swings in my lifetime. None ever had the quality of your swings.
